Ping An Trust

Ping An Trust Co., Ltd. ("Ping An Trust") was established on April 9, 1996; as a controlled subsidiary of Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. ("Ping An of China"), Ping An Trust is an important part of Ping An of China whose shares are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (2318.HK) and the Shanghai Stock Exchange (601318).

In February 2002, Ping An Trust was re-registered with the approval of the People's Bank of China. After five rounds of capital increases, Ping An Trust now has RMB 12 billion in registered capital.

In 2016, Ping An Trust kicked off the all-around "wealth + fund" reform under the guidance of "returning to the source of trust" and "supporting the real economy" to build a strategic model focused on three core businesses, i.e. "wealth management + asset management + private equity investment banking." According to Ping An Trust's annual report for 2016, Ping An Trust realized RMB 3,797 million in net profit, ranking No.1 in the industry, up 22.13% year on year; as at December 31, 2016, Ping An Trust had 52,500 active wealth management customers, 39.4% more than at the end of 2015; Ping An Trust had RMB 677.221 billion in AUM of trust plans, 21.27% more than at the end of 2015.
